Brazilian senator, former football star, 1994 world champion Romario de Souza Faria received officials of the Azerbaijan Futnet Federation in his home in Rio de Janeiro.

During the meeting with Romario, who was once named the best football player in the world, he was presented with gifts by the President of the International Footvolley Federation Vusal Khalilov, reflecting the history and culture of Azerbaijan.

Speaking about the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Brazil, Vusal Khalilov said that Romario was very popular among football fans in our country. The president of the federation also discussed important issues related to future cooperation with the former Brazilian footballer, who has taken important steps to promote football and plays a major role.

Expressing gratitude to the veteran footballer for the warm reception, AFNF Secretary General Afgan Hamzayev said that Romario's wonderful game will always be remembered by fans.

Expressing gratitude to the officials of the organization, who met with him at his home in Rio de Janeiro, the former star congratulated our people on the liberation of our lands from Armenian occupation, emphasizing that Shusha is the cradle of Azerbaijani culture.
